Florida's Treasure Coast offers safe and accessible ramps to launch your boat.St. Lucie, Martin, and Indian River Counties maintain boat launches that make access to the Indian River and the Atlantic Ocean safe and fast. Of course on a shining calm holiday weekend, there are never enough landings, so be sure to go early to get a good parking spot for your vehicle and trailer. For immediate access to the ocean, select boat ramps in Ft. Pierce (Ft. Pierce Inlet) or Stuart (St. Lucie Inlet) for immediate access to the Atlantic ocean. Expect an eight to twelve mile Indian River run to the ocean from ramps in Vero Beach or Jensen Beach. On windy days, Little Diggy prefers access to the ocean via the Ft. Pierce Inlet. The configuation of the inlet allows for a "smoother" ride through the inlet. When returning to the landing, remember boat ramp etiquette! Don't park your boat in the ramp slip while you retrieve your vehicle and trailer. Drop a crew member off and wait with the boat in the channel until that crew member backs the trailer into the ramp slip. This courtesy makes everyone's boat landing task efficient and fair.
