Florida's Treasure Coast offers world class inshore and off shore fishing and scuba diving.
From Vero Beach to Stuart, inshore fisherman stalk the beautiful Indian River Estuary for snook, redfish, speckled sea trout, sheephead, flounder, tarpon, and sand perch. The warm Atlantic Gulf stream brings off shore anglers a bounty of sailfish, dolphin, kingfish, permit, grouper, amberjack, cobia, and snapper.
For the scuba enthusiast, a seemingly infinite system of ocean reefs harbours great numbers of spiny lobsters, triggerfish, and beautiful ornamentals; divers can hunt successfully with a camera, catch bag, or speargun.
For better or worse, the truth about fishing is that successful fishing requires practice, skill, local knowledge, the right equipment for the right species, the right bait, good weather... and of course, a good measure of luck. The old adage proclaims that 5% of the fishman catch 95% of the fish. Fishing can be just plain hard work; but work always well worth doing!
Fortunately, whether you are fishing or catching, this sport offers tremendous challenge and personal satisfaction. And the waters of the Treasure Coast, both inshore and offshore, offer a lifetime of excitement as you learn to target its large variety and sizes of fish.
Go where you want and fish what you will.... but at the end of the day, fishing doesn't get much better than right here on the Treasure Coast of Florida.
